Are you dreaming to be more hydrodynamic in the water and more mobile? You want to dive with two tanks but you do not want to carry a twin set?

SIDEMOUNT

This technique has been developed by cave divers to go through smaller restrictions. Nowadays it is widely used by cave divers and open water divers for any kind of dive.

The sidemount technique allows you to keep a similar configuration to the backmount configuration; you’ll have a long hose and a short hose, in order to share gas efficiently.

The course is built around an equipment explanation and configuration workshop. It can be done with different sidemount systems, although I tend to mainly use the X-deep sidemount system. Additionally, you will be taught theory, skills and drills with the new equipment as well as receive buoyancy, trim and propulsion training in sidemount. All drills and equipment familiarisation skills will allow you not only to be feel more solid with your new equipment, but also to achieve overall better trim and buoyancy

Requirements: be a certified diver as an open water diver

Minimum 3 days

TECHNICAL SIDEMOUNT

If two tanks are not enough you can also add tanks to the basis sidemount configuration.

It could be either stages to have a longer range dive (as we like to do in Mexican caves) or deco mixes that will allow you to optimise your decompression dive.

Through this course, you will learn to set up your stage, be stable in the water with that stage but also to switch to it and perform all sidemount drills with the stage on. We will also go over decompression theory and dive planing for extended dives made possible by the stages.

Requirements: be to be certified as a side mount diver.
