Dive in the Cenotes of Mexico

Cristal clear water, incredible visibility, stunning cave formations: this is the magical world of Mexican caves.

Called ‘Cenote’ because of the Mayan word ‘D’zenote’ which means; water well, water that flows under the earth for hundreds of kilometers in the Yucatan Peninsula.

You can dive the cenotes all year round; It is the perfect environment for a diver to enjoy and explore the cenotes by cavern or cave diving or to get educated as a cave diver.

What is a cavern dive:

Many caves have a zone at their beginning which is wide and where you can see the daylight. This is called the cavern zone. In Yucatan every certified diver has the possibility to come and explore the caverns. That gives the diver the chance to experiment the cenote dives without the need of doing a demanding cave certification and with a regular recreational equipment.

During those dives, according to the divesite, you will see some amazing cave formations like stalactites or stalagmites, some fossils and the hallocline. When the light shines into the water, it creates beautiful light effects through the water.

All of the caverns have a stunning pool of cristal clear water where you get in.

We can guide you in the caverns in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish
