To be able to be proficient as a technical diver or in an overhead environment, specific training is available to prepare you for your cave or technical courses. The first step and the basis for every tec training is an essentials course (IANTD) or Intro to Tec (TDI).

Before starting a technical diving course, we strongly advise you to follow a sidemount or an essential program: this will allow you to optimize your time during a cave or a trimix course by having already acquired the fundamentals for technical/overhead diving.

ESSENTIALS / INTRO TO TEC:

While it is not so difficult to lay a cave line, to drop a stage tank or to do a regulator switch, what is more difficult is to do these skills while remaining exactly in the same place and at the same depth without wasting too much concentration on buoyancy and trim, maintaining focus our task, our buddy and the environment.

Through this course, you will get more comfortable underwater, learn how to remain stable and in trim; have more efficient finning techniques essentials for tec and cave diving.

We will also work on the equipment, optimizing it for your specific activity (open water, overhead environment, wreck, etc.). It will also make you more familiar with a twinset or a sidemount system through extended drills, which will be especially useful if you were previously diving in single tank, but also valuable to improve your skills if you are already using a twinset, two sidemount tanks or a rebreather.

We will also focus on diving in a team and how a buddy is an important component of our dive and our awareness.

Buoyancy, trim, equipment and basic drills are the core of this course, allowing you to feel more solid underwater.

This course can be done in back mount, sidemount or in a rebreather.

To register to this course you have to be at least open water diver.

This course is a minimum of 3 days
