A Swiss diver with international experience:
I am originally from Switzerland, born on the shore of the Lake of Geneva.
Already at an early age, I was always jumping in the lake, wading under water with my fins even before I could properly swim.
I did my first dive certification in the south of France, on the day of my 12th birthday, 1987.
Then I got hooked and, as soon as I was old enough, I started travelling around the world to explore more dives sites.
The encounter with Mexico:
Among my travels, I visited Mexico for the first time in 1997. This is where I met a cave explorer Robbie with whom I did my first cave dive. I discovered at that moment, that there was cristal clear water wells in the jungle and that we could dive them. I tried the experience and got subjugated by the beauty. I was diving in a fairy tale.
Diving became an addiction to the point that I could not wait until my next holiday; so I started to dive in the cold waters of Switzerland. That is where I became a recreational dive instructor in the lake of Geneva.
Technical diving and expeditions:
After several years of teaching recreational diving, I got introduced in deep diving (trimix) and cave diving. The best tool for doing that was to be with a rebreather. I acquired a Megalodon and dived it for several years in various caves around the world (scootering 4 sumps at the Ressel - France, second sump in Pozo Azul - Spain, mines in Finland, Germany, Slovakia and Hungary, Molnar Janos cave in Budapest, caves in Italy, in Russia ….etc).a
I even had the chance to do some famous wreck dives like the Britannic (sistership of the Titanic), the Chuuk Lagoon wrecks and Bikini Atoll wrecks: the Saratoga and many others.
I took part of several expeditions and did several committed dives like one at the Ressel to the Dome Chamber, an exploration in the Basque Country and in the Lot - France, an exploration in Switzerland and some exploration projects in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico.
Now on my days off, I either go exploring new cenote or dive places that I don’t know in order to have always new dive sites to propose to the divers.
Teaching Technical diving:
Eager to share my passion and my experiences, I became a technical diving instructor. Currently teaching cave diving, sidemount, essentials, normoxic Trimix and Rebreather (Sidewinder, rEvo, Megalodon, Pathfinder, Flex and Liberty)
I finally decided to work full time in the diving industry. As my trips always brought me back to Mexico, like an addiction, my heart got stuck here. It is a real paradise for cave diving and for all year round diving instruction. Based in Tulum, I am in the middle of ‘Cenote Land’ and I am surrounded by a wide choice of caves.
I speak and teach in French, English, German, Italian and Spanish.
